This early spring trip to Big Bend took place March 21-27, following the Big Freeze of February and months of drought. The scenery was pretty bleak and not conducive to the shots I wanted, so I concentrated on wildflowers. This, in itself, was a challenge, however I was able to get several new species for my site (www.texaswildbuds.com) and was able to do some mountain biking.
