Description Habitat: Sandy desert washes; often cultivated.
Plant: Small tree, 6 to 20 feet tall.
Leaves: Dark green, often drooping, linear to lanceolate 4 to 7 inches long, mostly alternate.
Inflorescence: Drooping tubular blossoms borne in racemes, each flower 1 to 1-1/2 inches long, spreading at the opening into 5 ruffled, petal-like pink or lavender lobes with dark streaks.
Bloom Period: March to September.
