| Description |
Habitat: Dry, rocky, gravelly hillsides flats and desert washes. Plant: Erect shrub up to 6-1/2 feet high; many slender, long, light yellowish-green branches, densely covered with short hairs. Leaves: Hairy, opposite, narrow-lanceolate to ovate leaves, about 1 to 3 inches long on petioles up to 3/8-inch long; blades with toothed edges. Inflorescence: Small hemispheric or elongated clusters (up to 3/4-inch across) arising from leaf axils on peduncles 1-1/2 to 5-1/2 inches long; each head with many tubular blossoms with white to pink corollas with 4 lobes, lower lobe larger, and yellow center.
