Description Habitat: Dry, rocky, calcareous soils.
Plant: Short perennial 4 to 10 inches tall; woody branches from base; strong odor.
Leaves: Very narrow, pointed opposite, linear leaves 3/8 to 3/4 inches long.
Inflorescence: Composite flower heads about 1 inch across, with 7 to 9 or more yellow rays and 18 to 25 yellow disk florets in the center.
Bloom Period: Throughout the year, mostly summer and fall.

Description Habitat: Dry, gravelly, calcareous soils.
Plant: Low-growing, strong-scented, branched annual or short-lived perennial 6 to 12 inches tall.
Leaves: Opposite grayish-green to dark green leaves divided into 5-11 narrow, stiff, hairy lobes with glands.
Inflorescence: Bright yellow composite flower heads about 5/8-inch across on stalks up to 4 inches long with 12 to 21 rays and 16 to 70 disk florets in the center; phyllaries below are dotted with dark glands.
Bloom Period: Most of the year.
