Dallmann and Fournier Bays

By the time we woke up on Sunday morning we had crossed the Drake and were seeing our first icebergs. The ship sailed into Dallmann Bay, which lies between Anvers Island and Brabant Island, on our way to Fournier Bay on the northeast side of Anvers Island. Originally we were scheduled for a landing there, but conditions didn’t allow it so we sailed on to Chiriguano Bay later in the day, arriving in the early evening. 

One large tabular (flat-topped) iceberg caught the interest of the ship’s captain and we sailed along side it for a time (see video below).
