Nuremburg

We all probably recall films of the giant Nazi party rallys in the 1930’s in Nuremburg as well as the war crimes trials after World War II. Nuremburg is also the site of the Kunstbunker-the underground bunkers where artworks were stored during the war, many from Germany but many more from occupied countries-made famous by the book and film “Monuments Men”. We visited the bunkers and sights around the old town, including cathedrals and the Nuremburg Castle.

Nuremburg is located along the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal.
